Join the dean of Civil War Tour Guides Ed Bearss for this detailed study of the most important day of the decisive battle of Gettysburg. We’ll take two days to examine the actions which took place on 2 July 1863.

The weekend will begin at 8 PM on Friday evening with lectures by Dr. Richard Sauers and Dr. Mark Snell. Sauers, a noted authority on the battle, will discuss the Meade – Sickles controversy while Snell, the director of the Civil War Center at Shepherd University, will discuss the Union/Confederate high commands.

On Saturday and Sunday, Ed Bearss will lead the group from Culps Hill to Cemetery Ridge, and from Little Round Top to the route of Longstreet’s flank march.  We’ll cover the stand of the 20th Maine, follow Hood’s attack route, stand in the Peach Orchard and charge through the Wheatfield with Caldwell’s division.

In addition, we’ll walk Culp’s Hill and the Devil’s Den.  This is a signature tour of Ed Bearss’, so be sure to enroll on this unique program.
